Save the Guinea Pigs
Actually, guinea pigs, at least the species we keep as pets, don't exist in the wild. It wouldn't be accurate to call them "extinct," though, as there's no really strong evidence to show they ever did live in the wild. They are domesticated animals, like dogs, and evolved from a different species of animal that could also be called a guinea pig.
Still, it is crazy how some stores will have one whole aisle of dog stuff, one whole aisle of cat stuff, and not even one single bag of hay or pellets.
